Intro: Jay’s Aim was established with the target of reducing the rate of sudden cardiac death among young people in South-West England. The British Heart Foundation estimates that undiagnosed heart conditions cause the deaths of 12 people below the age of 35 every week in the UK, many of whom display no prior symptoms. Since 2018, Jay’s Aim has been on a mission to reduce this number, via several approaches; as well as offering free-to-attend training sessions for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated electronic defibrillators (AED), and providing public access defibrillators (PAD) for places in need, including sports clubs, schools and community hubs, the charity also provides funding and encouragement for young people to attend cardiac-screening sessions. Brief: snork: volunteered to help Jay’s Aim and support its mission to reduce the rate of sudden cardiac deaths among young people. After presenting a strategy and plan to the trustees, we got to work. First, we designed and implemented new branding, then we re-developed the website, implementing a new information architecture, re-writing all copy and introducing new ways for supporters to donate. We also set up an ecommerce store.
